Phylosophy
Michael Okpara University of agriculture, Umudikeis founded on the premise that national development in agriculture can be enhanced by properly integrated agricultural education. Food itself is one of the most essential needs of man. It is the philosophy of the university to contribute to national greatness which is predicated on self-sufficiency in food and fibre production through teaching, research, training and extension.
Objectives
- To provide educational opportunity for people of catchment areas of the University, its environs and beyond, those by virtue of their jobs are unable to pursue regular University Education
- To teach, examine and present such students for certification.
- To offer training, Orientation, Seminar and Workshop, in particular in exams ethics etc.
- To perform other services that may be assigned to the Centre by the University Authority.
