Strenght

  1. The centre uses statutory committees/bodies in the implementation of its programmes.
  2. Director is a member of the University Senate and is accountable’ to body through the Vice Chancellor on all matters relate to the CEC such as general administration, programmes and maintenances standards in keeping with the standards encapsulated in the policy formulated by senate.
  3. The centre reports to the Vice Chancellor through the CEC Board. The Board is chaired by the Vice Chancellor who takes all major decisions on academic and financial matters in the centre and these decisions are usually approved or ratified by the senate as the case maybe. This administrative arrangement ensures that the activities of CEO are closely supervised.
  4. The centre makes use of qualifies lecturers from within the university and also outside lecturers on part-time basis.
  5. On the recommendations of the CEC Board, the registrar recently approved course co-coordinators who would also serve as academic advisers in the various programmes run by the centre.
  6. Reconciliation of CEC student’s results this aimed at facilitating the computation and early release of students’ results.
  7. The number of students enrolling into the programmes run by the centre strong source of internally generated revenue for the university.
